Account & Data Deletion Policy

Your privacy matters to us. At cash247, we want you to feel confident that your personal information is handled safely and that you have the right to ask for your data to be deleted whenever you choose. This policy clearly explains how you can request deletion and under what circumstances we may need to hold on to certain details for legal and regulatory reasons.

1How You Can Request Deletion

You can ask us to delete your information at any point — whether you completed a full loan application or only shared your details for eligibility or verification.

To raise a deletion request:

Subject: Account / Data Deletion Request

In your email, mention:

  • Full Name
  • Registered Mobile Number
  • Last 4 digits of Loan / Customer ID (if issued)
  • Last 4 digits of the ID used for KYC

We will:

  • Acknowledge your request within 7 working days
  • Complete eligible deletion within 30 days, unless legal obligations prevent immediate removal

If you never created an account but believe we hold your information (for example, during a credit check), simply share the mobile number or email used so we can locate your data.

2What We Delete

Once verified, we will delete:

  • Your profile details and contact information
  • Login access and account credentials
  • App activity and device data
  • Credit or financial information that is not legally required to be stored
  • Records from both live systems and backups

Backups are automatically cleared within 90 days after primary deletion.

3Information We Must Retain

Some information cannot be deleted immediately due to financial and regulatory requirements. We may need to keep:

  • Loan and repayment history
  • KYC documents
  • Tax-related paperwork
  • Bureau submissions
  • Any information relevant to fraud prevention, disputes, or audits

This is because regulators like:

  • Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
  • Income Tax authorities
  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

…require us to store certain records for up to 10 years.

We won't use this retained data for marketing or profiling. It will be stored securely and deleted permanently once the mandatory period expires.

4If You Have Active Dues

If your loan is still active or payments are pending:

  • We cannot delete your data until everything is settled
  • You may still submit a request — we will respond and explain what needs to be completed first

We aim for complete transparency and will guide you through the process.

5Confirmation After Deletion

After the deletion is completed, you will receive a final confirmation email stating:

  • That your account has been deleted
  • That your personal data has been removed except for records we are legally obligated to keep

This confirmation is issued for your peace of mind and future reference.
